Gateway
Community Services, Inc. Gateway Community Services, Inc. is a private non-profit agency that provides a comprehensive continuum of addiction and related behavioral health services, including prevention, intervention, treatment and supportive housing. Gateway was founded on the premise that addiction is a chronic, relapsing disorder and potentially fatal disease. The disease of addiction affects the spiritual, emotional and physical dimensions of individual's life and we believe that treatment must also respond to these same three dimensions to promote a lasting recovery. Gateway embraces the philosophy of Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous and requires participation in AA and/or NA. Al-Anon is recommended for families and significant others. Treatment is based on a multi-disciplinary approach with trained professionals from various specialties working to prevent, assess, intervene and support all persons in treatment and recovery. Gateway is funded in part by the City of Jacksonville, the Department of Children and Families Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Mental Health Office, and the Department of Juvenile Justice. No one is denied treatment at Gateway for inability to pay. Cost of treatment is determined by a sliding fee scale and is covered by many insurance policies as well as Medicaid. Services are provided at eleven separate locations to all persons who meet admission criteria within the Duval County area regardless of age, race, gender, national origin, sexual orientation or disability. For more information, please call 904-387-4661. Click here to see the Stepping Stones to Recovery. |
